We just got a look at the forecast for this week here in Marathon, Florida and it looks too good to be true! With minimal humidity, easy winds, temperatures in the low 80′s and sunshine forecasted for the rest of the week it is truly a great time to be in paradise.
Though Friday might show us a few intermittent cooling rain spells, today through Thursday is the perfect time to explore all that our beautiful Marathon hotel has to offer– whether it’s water sports, beach activities, fishing charters or just hanging out by the pool, we know that you and your family are bound to have a fantastic time this week.
Be sure to ask our front desk agents here at Tranquility Bay to recommend some activities that would best suit you and your family’s needs. We’re here to help!
One of our employees here at Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort wanted to share this photo of a toothy barracuda that he caught (and released!) recently.
We spoke to you yesterday about what a fun fight these guys put up in the water, but we also love staring into their terrifying mouths after we’ve reeled them in — look at those teeth!
We hope you get to take advantage of the beautiful warm weather on this weekend’s forecast. Whether you’re out battling your own barracuda, helping your kids build a sandcastle down by the ocean or simply lazing by the pools here at Tranquility Bay, we wish you a relaxing, happy weekend!
We want to urge all our guests to get out on the water NOW while the fishing is truly excellent. Calm seas, warm temperatures and exciting hauls make this the perfect time to get your lines in the water and bring back something exciting for our chefs at the Butterfly Cafe to cook up for you and your family.
All our charter friends have been busy ferrying their customers in and out with some of the nicest yellowtail, kingfish and mackerel that have been seen all season. There are plenty of local companies to choose from when picking a charter, with a variety of price points to fit whatever your needs.
Fishermen who are thus far inexperienced with catching barracuda should be extra sure to get out onto the flats and fish for these beautiful creatures, who put up a truly wonderful fight and are being seen in huge numbers right now. Nothing compares to the first time you come face to face with one of these toothy beauties!
Great bite being given by mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna and mangrove snapper means that you’re almost guaranteed an exciting day (and a full cooler)…so what are you waiting for? Get out there!
Ask our front desk agents here at Tranquility Bay Resort to set you up with everything you need– from charter bookings to bait shops, they’ve got you covered.
…is back in business!
We recently drained our largest pool to do some routine maintenance. Check out how great it looks now!
The water is clean, cool and refreshing– grab a lounge chair and hop on in! It’s the perfect way to spend the morning at Tranquility Bay.
We’re looking at a hot weekend ahead of us here at Tranquility Bay Hotel & Resort, with temperatures in the low 80′s from tomorrow through Sunday. The partial clouds that have been hanging around are forecasted to continue their loitering, which means it’s a great time to get out on the water without the threat of blazing overhead sun (and those subsequent blazing sunburns!)
Rain is forecasted at a low 30% which means partial, intermittent showers might show up between today and Saturday, while Sunday looks to be mostly clear.
As always, please remember to coat yourselves and your loved ones with a high SPF, drink plenty of water and spend your nights at the tiki bar (that last one isn’t as much a recommendation as how we plan on spending our weekend.)
We know the holidays can be a stressful time, so we’re making it easy on you: call our reservations department today to book your trip to our gorgeous Florida Keys hotel and we’ll give you prices so great, even Santa couldn’t beat them.
With our stunning, fully-outfitted beach houses starting at just $249 a night, you can celebrate the holidays in style. We think having a white Christmas should mean dipping your toes into the powdery white sand while sipping a tropical drink at our tiki bar.
