Last night’s Episode of Throwdown! with Bobby Flay was filmed right here at beautiful Tranquility Bay! Bobby challenged Jim Brush and Alison Sloat, four-time winners of Nation’s Best Key Lime Pie by the American Pie Council and owners of the local Key West Key Lime Pie Company.  It was a close call, but in the end Bobby narrowly won with his clever addition of coconut rum to his pie’s whipped topping.  It was a fun night for everyone, and an honor for such a distinguished chef to come to the Keys and challenge our local pie experts.  If you want to try Bobby’s pie recipes from the episode, they are available here.
