How to Get to Marathon, Florida
Marathon sits at the heart of the Florida Keys, roughly halfway down the Overseas Highway — about 90 miles south of Miami and 45 miles north of Key West, at mile marker 48.5. Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort is right on the water here, along US-1.

By Car
Marathon is reached the same way as the rest of the Keys: via US-1 South, also known as the Overseas Highway, a single road strung across dozens of bridges connecting the islands.
From Miami
~2 hrs • ~90 miles
Take FL-836 West to the Florida Turnpike South, then continue onto US-1 South (Overseas Highway) all the way to Marathon at mile marker 48.5. This is the shortest, most common approach.
From Fort Lauderdale
~2.5 hrs • ~120 miles
Take I-95 or the Florida Turnpike South toward Miami, then continue on US-1 South down the Keys the same way.
From Key West
~1 hr • ~45 miles
Take US-1 North (Overseas Highway) directly to Marathon — a straightforward, scenic drive up the island chain, crossing the Seven Mile Bridge along the way.
From Orlando
~5.5–6 hrs • ~300 miles
Take the Florida Turnpike South to Miami, then US-1 South to Marathon. Given the distance, flying into Miami or Fort Lauderdale is usually the faster option
By Air
Marathon has its own small airport, making it a genuinely convenient option for guests flying private or on limited regional service — most travelers, though, will connect through one of the larger South Florida hubs and drive the rest of the way.

Right in Marathon
The closest airport by far. Service is limited and mostly general aviation/charter, but it puts guests just minutes from the resort with no highway drive at all.
MIA — Miami International

The major hub with the widest range of flights. Rent a car and take the Turnpike, then US-1 South down to Marathon.
FLL — Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International
~120 miles • ~2.5 hrs by car
A strong alternative to Miami, often with competitive fares and a similar drive time south.
EYW — Key West International
~45 miles • ~1 hr by car
Worth considering if fares work out — it puts you on the Keys side of the drive already, heading north instead of south.
